Therapy Services for children with special needs
For you and your child’s convenience, we have an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist and a Speech Therapist on site.
PLEASE NOTE Our therapists operate independently from OWL Day Care and their fees are NOT included in our school fees. Please click on the relevant service below to find out more about the therapists and for their contact details.
Occupational therapy or OT uses various assessments and treatments to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of people with a physical, mental, or cognitive disorder.
Common occupational therapy goals include helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations and helping individuals recovering from injury to regain skills.
Physical therapy or physiotherapy is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialty that assists with various impairments and promotes mobility, function, and quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, and physical intervention.
Physical Therapists examine each patient and develop a plan, using treatment methods to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and prevent damage.
Speech Therapists work to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
